I coordinated and participated in the summer symposium, Preservation: Sustainability 3 at The Cooper Hewitt Design Museum in New York City on May 21 and 22, 2010. The symposium featured 2 tracks; Preservation and Sustainability, and Preserving Stein’s Communities. The first track included presentations by eminent professionals and experts as well as field trips to the Armory Building in New York and other structures in Irvington, NY. The second track also featured presentations by representatives from Stein’s communities such as Baldwin Hills Village, Chatham Village, Radburn, Hillside Homes, Sunnyside Gardens and many more and fieldtrips to Radburn (NJ), Sunnyside Gardens (NY), Phipps Apartments (NY) and Hillside Homes (NY).
