Past In January, 2009 I presented a research paper titled ‘Future of Hindu Temples at Hampi as Intangible and Tangible Resources’, at the international conference, “Tangible and Intangible Heritage of the Hampi Region” at NIAS in Bangalore, India. In 2008 I researched and successfully defended my Masters Thesis titled “The Krishna Temple, Hampi: Exploring its identity as a Medieval Hindu Temple in the Contemporary Context”. This year-long research focused on a single, renowned temple complex in the World Heritage Site of Hampi, and tried to determine the future of a temple that is located within a dynamic and complex site with a comprehensive, integrated Master Plan being developed for its future. My research focused on the various factors that would determine the temple’s future as a contributing participant in this Master Plan, and if possible, then what could the various contributions be. Read my abstract here. In 2006 I also drafted a detailed Research Paper on the preservation planning and process of the Reliance and the Rookery Buildings in Chicago, IL.     On May 26th and 27th 2009 I coordinated and participated in the symposium “Preservation: Sustainability” held at Parsons The New School for Design in New York City, NY. The symposium was organized by Cornell’s Historic Preservation Planning Program and featured 2 tracks; “Preservation : Sustainability 2” and “Preserving Stein Communities”.
